Somatic therapy for the whole of you

Body psychotherapy helps you reconnect with yourself, release patterns, and move through life with more ease and self-trust.

Hannah Parker, a body psychotherapist and somatic therapist, sits on a chair with crossed arms, wearing a light-colored plaid shirt and black pants, next to a large green houseplant in a room with white walls and wooden furniture.

Hello, I’m Hannah - an integrative biodynamic body psychotherapist.

I offer a calm, collaborative and confidential space where we can explore the emotional, physical and psychological patterns that may be affecting your life. Using a client-led process, this supports people to feel more connected to themselves, to process what’s held in the body, and to move towards greater ease.

I'm a warm and approachable person and a registered member of the UK Council for Psychotherapy, the Centre for Biodynamic Body Psychotherapy, and the Association of Biodynamic Massage Therapists.

What is body psychotherapy?

Body psychotherapy is a somatic, relational form of psychotherapy that works with the whole of you.

Rather than focusing only on your thoughts, it invites deeper awareness and connection with your whole body and what sensations, movements and patterns might be telling you. Using a range of therapeutic techniques - including talking, breath work, body scanning, movement and massage - we find new insights, and space for meaningful change.

This approach can help with:

  • Fatigue, overwhelm or burnout

  • Longstanding relationship or
    self-worth issues

  • Trauma and embodied stress responses

  • Feeling disconnected or out of balance with the body

  • Anxiety or low mood

Who might benefit

If you are carrying a lot, feeling stretched, feeling stuck, or simply in need of a space to come back to yourself - body psychotherapy can help.

It might be that you have already tried talking therapies and you are looking for something more. Body psychotherapy offers a place where you don’t have to manage anything or explain everything - just be met exactly as you are.

Together, we’ll work gently and at your pace, using the body’s signals as a guide.

“Hannah's therapy really helped me during a time of great mental distress. I was suffering from panic attacks in the workplace. Hannah understood that what had happened had affected me on a deep, psychological level. I came away feeling like I knew what to do, on an ongoing basis, to heal myself. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her.”
